The Obama/Biden Transition team has the best named website around:
change.gov
It's worth perusing for many reasons. Here are three.
One: it's just a nicely designed site.
Two: it has all sorts of little indicators of the way this administration is going to be run, such as a flow chart of the executive branch that puts it UNDER the constitution and includes the Office of the Vice President.
Three: it's got a link where you can apply for a job with the administration. And my personal feeling is that if you believe in these people, and more importantly you believe in what these people stand for, then you should apply and see what happens. You should give them the chance to refuse you. This is not difficult -- the form is very short.

Goodness, that form is very short. Am I to imagine Obama and his advisers gathering together to plan the administration: "I want to fill this house with the nation's best and brightest. That is why everyone MUST have both a first and a last name." "Here here," say the advisers. "And an address!" adds another. "A phone nubmer too," pipes one from the back of the room. "Should we ask them what they currently do for a living?" "Hmmm... I suppose we could give them a tiny input box for that, but make sure it's smaller than the imput box for their email address."
Yes, it does seem suspiciously like yet another way to inadvertently sign up for MoveOn spam. But because I am still prone to outbursts of giddy laughter since Tuesday, I'm going to assume that it's just a way of politely screening out the hordes of eager (and honest) Kenyans who are no doubt flooding the site.
